Synopsis: The purest and most poetic of all Westerns, in which Ford captured the true face of everything West fought over and sang about - loyalty and courage, love for virgin nature and great adventure. The director succeeded in transposing authentic facts (from the life of Wyatt Earp) into a lyrical saga about the development of a wandering cowboy/nomadic savage bent on revenge, who gradually evolvs into a civilized sheriff who upholds the law.
