Synopsis::
One of the truly "lost" films of the 1960's, little seen or remembered since its release, Chappaqua resurfaces as a truly unique and visionary attempt to cinematically evoke the interior world of a drug addict. Featuring one of the most diverse casts in movie history, the Chappaqua filmscape is popualted with counter -cultural icons Allen Ginsberg and William S Burroughs, French actor Jean Lous barrault (Children of Paradise), musicians Ravi Shankar, Ornette Coleman, and Moon-Dog. With it's hypnotic mix of music and visuals, it tells the semi-autobiographal drama of one addict's journey form sickness to health. Featuring the camera work of renowned photographer Robert Frank.
