Musikas features seven artists including the breathtaking vocalist Marta Sebestyen and two lead dancers from the great Kodaly Ensemble. With Violins, kontra, bouzouki, bass and bagpipes, they perform the centuries-old traditional music of Hungary's and Eastern Europe's rural villages, concentrating on the music of Romania's Transylvania region (formerly part of Hungary.) The age-old tunes have a contemporary and universal appeal, brightly danceable one moment, hauntingly mysterious the next.
