Legendary North Carolina-born guitarist and singer Doc Watson is a tremendously influential guitarist who virtually invented blue grass flatpicking. With a warm and powerful woice, he travels the American musical landscape, touching on bluegrass, old-time, blues, swing, gospel and even jazz. At age 74, the blind master musician has won five Grammy Awards and was recently awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Clinton.
