Just before launching his career as a soft-core cable TV maven, Zalman King starred in the well-crafted Blue Sunshine. Back in 1968, a bunch of frizzy-haired Stanford undergrads had experimented with LSD. Ten years later, those students, now all solid citizens, begin experiencing acid flashbacks. The hair loss is the least of their worries: some of the former day-trippers have embarked upon a murderous rampage, wandering zombielike through suburbia and killing anything that moves. King plays the one ex-student who is normal enough to stop his compatriots-if only the authorities will leave him alone. If the tension stirred up by Blue Sunshine is too much for you to bear, just picture yourself in a boat on a river...with marmalade trees.....marshmallow skies...a girl with kaleidescope eyes....
